Research Interests:

Acyclic diene metathesis (ADMET) polymerization; synthesis of model polymers for polyolefins, preparation of latent elastomer structures. 220 publications and patents to date, also about 250 presentations by his group in the USA and around the world. ADMET reaction has become an integral part of polymer chemistry. While working for Akzo Nobel, American Enka Research, directed activities of 25 people engaged in bulk polymerizations and structure/property determinations - research in membranes, nylon, polyester & cellulose fibers, biopolymers, polymerization catalysis, conductive polymers, polymer decomposition, and NMMO solvents for cellulose.
