Education:
Ph.D. Civil Engineering, University of Virginia, 2000
Research Interests:
Dr. Chan Hilton joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in January 2000, after receiving her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia. Dr. Chan Hilton is the coordinator of the environmental and water resources engineering area in the department. She teaches courses in environmental engineering and groundwater hydrology. Her research interests include optimization of environmental engineering and water resources systems, evolutionary computation, environmental systems analysis, life cycle assessment of emerging technologies, and contaminant fate and transport.
