Particle-surface interaction: electronic and magnetic and chemical properties of surfaces and interfaces; Nano-wire and junctions: quantum transport in molecular nano-electronic junctions and spin-dependent tunneling processes; Hydrolysis: Quantum mechanical determination of interaction of water and materials; Superconductivity: Impurities in high Tc materials; Development and implementation of methodologies and algorithms for quantum transport problems, development of models and methods for large-scale quantum and classical molecular dynamics simulations, including interfaces for multi-scale simulations.
