Research Interests:

Ms. Shields currently leads the Communications Department at FSEC. Her department is responsible for issuing press releases, coordinating media inquiries, general public requests and public tours, and maintaining FSEC's primary Web site and numerous subsequent sites. In addition, her team supports the Center with graphic and multimedia services, including photography and instructional video.

She has coordinated the graphic materials for several energy conferences, lead the development of a public awareness campaign plan created by a Florida Green Building Workgroup that was formed by the Florida Building Commission, and also coordinated the meeting space, handouts, and audio recordings for this workgroup's meetings.

Ms. Shields has worked at FSEC since 1996. Her previous experience includes working as a Graphic Specialist in the Commercial Proposal Division at Johnson Controls, as the lead illustrator in the ATCSD Proposal Center at Harris Corporation, and as the assistant pre-press manager at Florida Today newspaper.
