Research Interests:

Dr. Kolattukudy serves as the Director at UCF for the Burnett School of Biomedical Science as well as the Director for Biomolecular Science Center. He is a Professor and Chair of the Molecular Biology and Microbiology Department. Dr. Kolattukudy was the founding director of the Institute of Biological Chemistry at Washington State University and for the Ohio State Biotechnology Center. He has served on Editorial Boards of several journals and several NIH Study Sections. He has published over 390 scientific papers, presented invited address at more than 90 national and international symposia, and written 58 invited reviews in prestigious journals. Dr. Kolattukudy has been continuously supported by multiple federal grants for 40 years, among the top 5% of the most highly NIH funded scientist in the past 25 years. He is designated by the International Authority in citation and analysis as highly cited author. (Top half percent of all publishing scientist in his field.)
