Research Interests:

Dr. Lin has been working on wireless technologies for more than 15 years. His research interests include sensors, wireless energy transmission, and radio frequency integrated circuits. He led an interdisciplinary research program of wireless hydrogen sensors for NASA Hydrogen Research in the University of Florida and demonstrated a self-powered wireless hydrogen sensor. The team also successfully deployed a wireless hydrogen sensor network in a facility in Orlando servicing hydrogen-powered vehicles. Dr. Lin has served as an elected IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Administrative Committee member since 2006 (1st term 2006-2008, 2nd term 2009-2011). He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques since 2006, and served as the Guest Editor of the Transactions special issue on 2008 RFIC Symposium. He has been serving on several conference steering committees and technical program committees. Dr. Lin received 1994 UCLA Outstanding Ph.D. Award, 1997 ETA KAPPA NU Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer Honorable Mention Award, and 2007 IEEE MTT-S N. Walter Cox Award. He has authored or co-authored over 170 technical publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He holds 7 patents.
