Research Interests:

In my lab (Nanostructure Optoelectronics Laboratory), we conduct studies of material properties, device physics and device engineering. Materials of interests include not limited to, organic semiconductors (polymers, molecular crystals), semiconductor nanocrystals (quantum dots) and other novel nanostructural compounds. We fabricate and characterize nanostructure optoelectronic devices (solar cells, light emitting diodes and thin film transistors), with the focus on both the study of fundamental physics and their applications to device engineering. Ongoing research projects include investigation of hybrid solar cell with organic polymers and semiconductor quantum dots, optical study of lead selenide nanoparticles synthesized by laser pyrolysis and microstructure organic solar cell arrays for on-chip application of nanoprecision resonator with SWNT for multi-agent sensing.
